I'm sorry, I'm a bit slow lately. Sick, very tired, aching, that's the short version.

Cause it's totally what I'm doing, blog-wise. I guess being away for a week and then taking care of the two kids accounts for some of my silence, but mostly, I'm just too lazy/busy to type, and I don't feel like I have that much to show. I AM sewing. I'm kinda amazed at how much I'm doing, actually, with the little Toad and the slightly bigger Heimlich. The Home Geek is on vacation as well, so that helps, and Toadette is quite an easy kid. Sewing in little spurts of five to 30 minutes is a bit tricky, but it gets things done - even if it means I mostly forget about pictures ( Read more... )

I'm pushing myself to sew just a little bit everyday. It gives me some sense of accomplishment, and it helps me make steady, if slow, progress on my stuff. I'm totally unsure whether I want the skeleton suit to be long or short-sleeved. The first examples I saw were long-sleeved, and so is my mock-up (did I mention : hey, it fits quite pefectly !). Buuuut the boy does NOT like being too hot, and it will be worn in the peak of summer. And now it seems the whole universe is sending me reference pictures ( Read more... )
